The current club was officially established in 1997 but the clubs history dates back to 1908. They play at Highbury Stadium and are nicknamed The Cod Army.

Away fans driving from both North and South should exit the M6 at junction 32, joining the M55 for Blackpool. Exit the M55 at junction 3, taking the A585 for Fleetwood. On the outskirts of the town, there is a roundabout with Blackpool and Fylde College on the left.
Go straight across this roundabout and take the next left turn into Copse Road.
Having passed the fire station (after about a mile), take a left turn into Radcliffe Road. The next right is Stanley Road, where the stadium is on the left hand side.
Fleetwood has no railway station of its own. The nearest station is Poulton-le-Fylde, about 5 miles away. However, fans may find it more convenient to travel via Blackpool North, about 7 miles away.
Taxi fares may prove expensive, but bus services 1 and 14 run regularly to Fleetwood.
